摘要
通过分析中国文献资料对蛇的记载、中国民风民俗中的蛇崇拜和禁忌文化等内容,指出中国蛇文化祥瑞的观念始于先民们对蛇的恐惧和崇拜,从最初的蛇神、始祖、生殖崇拜的神化和尊贵,逐步发展成为蛇变龙,真命天子的身份、权势、地位和吉祥的象征。它在民间民俗中广为流传,展现在各种民间民俗服饰、建筑、剪纸、绘画等艺术中。最后得出中国吉祥"蛇"文化的内涵在于它是民族宗教图腾崇拜、生殖崇拜、神圣灵睿以及吉祥、财富的符号象征。
By analysing the snake figure described in Chinese traditional literatures like legend, fable, history and so on, it found that the auspicious connotation towards snake could be deducted from the prehistorical times. It originated from the dread of snake, from the worshipful emotion towards snake immortal, ancients, and its re-productivity, sublimed into divine dragon gradually, and turned into the auspicious sign of holiness, authority , status, and richness in Chinese. It is one of the most popular auspicious patterns in Chinese folk arts, such as costume, architecture, painting and so on. Finally it pointed out that the auspicious connotation of snake pattern in Chinese traditional culture existed in the symbolization of nations＇ religion totem worship, reproductive worship, holiness and richness.
