Characteristics of Chinas PVC industry in the year 2008 were summarized. The production,supply ＆ demand,consumption and market situations of PVC industry in China by the end of 2008 were introduced. The situation of PVC industry, raw material routes and related industry polycies in the year 2008 were analyzed as well as the considerable influence of financial crisis on Chinas PVC industry. The technological progress of Chinas PVC industry was summarized. The development trend of Chinas PVC industry was looked forward. It was indicated that Chinas PVC industry had entered a consolidation period,and carrying out structural adjustment and industrial upgrading had become the urgent problems to be solved for current Chinas PVC industry.
