When BSA was added into zincon solution at pH 4.1, the purple colour was observed, which indicates the formation of zincon BSA complex. The maximum absorption of complex was 564 nm and 594 nm with the apparent molar absorptivity of 1 5×10 6 L·mol -1 · cm -1 . The linear range of standard curve for BSA is 0 ̄10 μg/mL, and the detection limit is 0 5 μg/mL. The basic reaction conditions were investigated. This proposed method was simple, sensitive, and reproducible. The analytical results of human serum albumin using this method is very satisfactory .
