Compressive property investigation of SiC_p/Al functionally gradient materials

摘要 采用粉末冶金法制备碳化硅颗粒增强铝基功能梯度复合材料,用扫描电子显微镜观察微观组织形貌,测试抗压强度,对其压缩性能进行分析。研究结果表明,当压力达到85 kN时,SiCp/Al功能梯度复合材料压缩试样的表面出现明显的宏观剪切裂纹,裂纹方向与垂直方向成45°。用有限元方法分析其压缩性能,计算结果与实验结果基本吻合。 SiCp/Al functionally gradient materials are fabricated by powder metallurgy. The microstructure of FGM specimens was observed by electron microscope(SEM), then the intension of compression and compressive properties were investigated. The result shows that when the pressure reaches 85 kN, the specimens of SiCp/Al functionally gradient material appear macroscopical shear crack, which is 45° with vertical direction. Comparing the result of the compressive test with that of finite element analysis, they are approximately agreed with each other.
