摘要
习语是各民族文化的精髓,由于文化差异无所不在,习语翻译的完全对等通常很难达到。文章从语用学的角度出发,通过分析引起汉英习语翻译语用失误的原因来探讨汉英习语翻译中的语用等效问题,以期避免翻译中的语用-语言失误和社交-语用失误现象。
Idioms are the essence of each national culture. Because of the cultural differences, it is hard to achieve complete pragmatic equivalence in translation. From the perspective of pragmatics, through the analysis of the reasons leading to pragmatic failures in Chinese - English idiom translation, the paper inquires the pragmatic equivalence in idioms translation, in order to avoid pragma - linguistic failure and socio - pragmatic failure in translation.
