门楼是客家民居中最为人注意的突出部位之一。由于受特殊的历史文化和地理环境的影响,客家民居门楼充满着浓郁的客乡风情,其外在的艺术表现形式往往内在地蕴涵着深刻的客乡文化,体现了客家人的生活生产方式、风俗习惯、宗教信仰及审美观念。
Menlou is one of the most significant parts of Hakka folk houses. Influenced by its special history, culture and geography, Hakka Menlou fully demonstrates the strong Hakka customs. The profound Hakka culture can be traced through the exterior art design of Menlou, which also reflects the Hakka people＇ s life styles, modes of production, customs, religions and concepts of beauty.
