产品标准体系是指一定范围内的标准按其内在联系形成的科学的有机整体。其中"一定范围"可以指产品、项目、技术、事务范围;"有机整体"是指标准体系是一个整体,产品标准体系内各项标准之间具有内在的有机联系。例如芳香疗法中所使用的产品在使用方法上包括按摩法、水疗法(SPA)、薰蒸吸入法、内服灌洗法、喷洒法,这些方法所使用的"一定范围"产品例如芳香植物油、植物媒介油、纯露、植物的根、茎、叶、花、果实所制取的干制产品在各项标准之间又具有内在的"有机联系"。
