摘要
本文回顾了冉昭德先生的生平事迹与学术成就,突出了20世纪60年代他在《汉书》研究方面的重大贡献,即以历史唯物主义为指导原则,公正、客观地评价班固进步的史学思想与《汉书》在史学上的巨大成就;面对不公正的批评与指责,他秉持一个史学工作者的良知、理性与勇气,成为后辈学人治学立身的典范,在"汉书学"发展史上留下了发人深省的一页。
This article reviews the stories and the research on Hanshu of Ran Zhaode,and especially the famous argument in the circle of history in China in the early sixties last century.At that time a trend to praise Shiji and belittle Hanshu appeared at the special political background.Ran Zhaode,the respectable scholar of the History Department of the Northwestern University,just appraised the achievement of Hanshu,in spite of the criticize of dominate thought in the circle of history,and finally led up to his tragic death during the 'Cultural Revolution' in 1969.The writing of this article one side is to glorify the great contribution of Ran Zhaode,and the other side is to commemorate the respectable historian.
