摘要
对时域有限元法应用于三维电磁辐射和散射问题的原理和最新进展作了简要介绍。首先给出了时域有限元法的原理和基本公式;然后介绍了时域有限元法遇到过的开域自由空间截断及庞大的计算域等问题及其解决方案;最后,对该领域尚待解决的问题和可能的发展趋势,例如混合方法、hp-自适应技术、正交基函数以及用图像处理单元(GPU)加速有限元算法等进行了评论和展望。
The principles and new development of the time-domain finite element method (TDFEM) for 3D EM radiation and scattering problems is reviewed in this paper. Firstly, the principles and fundamental formulas of TDFEM are introduced. Then, some problems encountered in the implement of TDFEM, such as mesh truncation of the unbounded free space, solution of large-scale matrix equation in each time step and corresponding resolution schemes are discussed. Finally, comments and developing trends of TDFEM are presented, including the hybrid methods of TDFEM together with other approaches, hp-adaptive technique, orthogonal basis functions and acceleration of FEM using Graphics Processor Units (GPU) in time domain, etc.
