摘要
以sh2胚乳突变体为试材,以普通杂交玉米为对照,测定了两者的某些结构、生理指标.结果表明,超甜玉米种子活力低下的原因主要是遗传造成的胚乳淀粉积累不足,而某些生理指标(如α、β淀粉酶活性)和胚的功能与普通杂交玉米差异不大.
Poor emergence and low seed vigor are characteristics of many supersweet sweet corn (Zea mays L.) cultivars carrying the shrunken2 (sh2) gene. This experiment was carried out in 1995, using one sh2 sweet corn cultivar (named Supersweet No.3) as material and a hybrid corn cultivar (named Shuyu No.1) as check. Several aspects of seed structural and some physiological indexes were analysed or determined in order to tell the difference between them. The results showed the sweet corn had a defect of starch accumulation in endosperm, which led to a result of low seed vigor. The results also indicated there was no great difference in some physiological indexes (such as α、β amylase activity) and embryo function between sh2 sweet corn and hybrid one.
