摘要
通过研究现代艺术设计与传统文化之间关系,发现外国的学者对我们自己常常忽略的传统文化与艺术如此流连忘返……艺术是需要不断创新的,但是,我们也决不能因为要创新,而对传统文化一概加以否定。创新,对传统文化与艺术而言,是扬弃,不是否定!如果割裂了传统文化与现代艺术设计的联系,那么,现代艺术与设计也将黯然失色,甚至会自我窒息而亡。
The paper examines the connection between modem art and traditional culture and finds that western scholars are quite fascinated with Chinese traditional culture and arts, which are often overlooked by Chinese artists. So, we think despite the importance of creativity to arts design, it＇s not advisable to reject traditional culture in every way. We needn＇t abandon traditional culture in order to be creative; instead we can make the best out of it by selection. Modem art will lose much of its glamour and wither away without the nurture of tradition.
