电流调制垂直腔面发射半导体激光器混沌动力学特性 被引量:1

Chaos Dynamics of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser Subject to Direct Current Modulation

摘要 利用数值模拟的方法研究了电流调制下偏置电流和调制频率对垂直腔面发射半导体激光器(VCSEL)混沌动力学特性的影响。数值模拟结果表明,在一定的调制频率下,偏置电流较大时VCSEL处于稳定的周期一态,偏置电流较小时激光器在调制参数的某些区间会出现阵发混沌;在一定的偏置电流下,调制频率较小时,VCSEL处于稳定的周期一态,调制频率较大时系统在调制参数的某些区间会出现阵发混沌。所以偏置电流和调制频率是影响VCSEL混沌动力学特性的重要参数,可以通过适当控制偏置电流和调制频率找到系统的周期态和混沌态。 The infiuence of bias current and modulation frequency on chaos dynamics of vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser(VCSEL)subject to direct current modulation is investigated by numerical simulation .For a given modulation frequency,VCSEL with large bias current remains a single period stability and system with small bias current,VCSELwith small modulation frequency remains a single period stability and system with large modulation frequency can also come into intermission chaos in some region of parameters.Bisa current and modulation frequency are important parameters for dynamics of VCSEL.Period stability and chaos can be determined by controlling bias current and modulation frequency appropriately.
