Multi-scale Based Image Enhancement Algorithm for Hepatic Portal Vein with Multi-slice Spiral CT Angiography

摘要 为解决由于各种原因导致的肝门静脉造影图像质量较差而给后续血管分割及分析带来的影响,在研究了基于Hessian矩阵的多尺度滤波方法的基础上,提出了一种利用新的相似性函数来增强肝门静脉的方法。该方法首先根据肝门静脉造影图像的特点,自动确定感兴趣的灰度范围;然后在此范围内利用多尺度下Hessian矩阵的特征值性质和造影图像的灰度信息来对肝门静脉造影图像进行增强。实验结果表明,改进的基于Hessian矩阵的多尺度滤波方法能很好地增强肝门静脉螺旋CT造影图像。 To improve the precision of vessel segmentation and analysis affected by the quality of portal vein angiography images, a new function of comparability is presented in this paper to enhance the contrast between hepatic portal vein and other tissues such as liver parenchyma, which is based on a thorough analysis of the Hessian-matrix-based multi-scale filter. An automated definition of interested grey range was achieved by analyzing the characteristics of portal vein angiography images. Then in which range a function of comparability, combined the multi-scale Hessian matrix's eigenvalue characteristics and original angiography' s intensity information, is used to enhance the portal vein angiography images. And the results show that the improved Hessian-matrix based multi-scale filter can significantly enhance the portal vein with multi- slice spiral CT angiography.
