摘要
国家英语新课程标准的颁布,给中小学英语教师提出了新的挑战。高等师范院校的英语教师教育者有责任和义务帮助中小学英语教师提高专业化水平。在我国基础教育新课程改革和英语课程标准基础上,由海南师范大学外语系与香港中文大学英语系的英语语言教育者合作进行了海口市中学英语教师TTR在岗专业培训。据此讨论了在新课程改革的形势下,高校英语教师教育者对中小学英语教师的专业发展应该承担的基本职责。
With the implementation of the new National English Curriculum Standards （NEGS）, EFL teachers in primary and middle schools are faced with new challenges. EFL teacher educators in normal universities have the responsibility and obligation to facilitate the professional development of EFL teachers in primary and middle schools. Based on the NECS, the Foreign Languages Department of Hainan Normal University and the English Department of Chinese University of Hong Kong initiated jointly TTR training programme for in-service EFL teachers in Haikou. According that the paper discusses the responsibilities that EFL teacher educators should take to help the EFL teachers in primary and middle schools to meet the needs of the NECS.
