摘要
表面工程已成为一门非常有前景的改善生物医学材料摩擦性能,从而提高人造关节性能及服役寿命的关键技术。长寿命人造关节的发展对生活质量的提高和对社会、经济的可持续性发展有着巨大的促进作用。文中首先扼要地讨论了制约人造关节寿命的主要问题(即承载啮合面的磨损)及可能的解决办法-表面工程。随后以研究结果为例回顾了表面工程技术发展的现状及存在问题。最后指出并讨论了人造关节表面工程未来的发展方向。
Surface engineering has been emerging as one of the most promising technologies to improve the tribological properties of biomedical materials, thus achieving enhanced performance and prolonged life span of total joint replacements. This has great potential of improving quality of life and contributing to social and economic sustainable development. In this paper, the state-of-the-art of joint prosthesis is briefly overviewed. By way of example, recent progress in surface engineering of biomedical materials for joint prosthesis is then reviewed. Finally, future research directions and trends in the surface engineering of joint prosthesis are identified and discussed.
