摘要
对国内等级含义研究进行了概述,对选择强项否定弱项产生的意义以及等级含义与认知的关系进行了研究,指出选择强项意味着否定弱项,而对弱项的否定意义同样是选择强项的等级含义,把等级含义置入认知环境中研究将有助于进一步理解等级含义的本质。
The paper first presents a general survey on the domestic researches done on the scalar implicature. Then by careful analysis, the paper argues that the choice of a stronger item on a linguistic scale means the negation of the weaker item（s） and the negation of the weaker items on the scale constitutes the scalar implicature of choosing a stronger item. Finally, it is pointed out that if the study on scalar implicature could be placed in cognitive environment, it would contribute to the better understanding of scalar im plicature.
