摘要
莎士比亚戏剧和汉乐府诗歌分属两个不同的时代,代表不同民族的文化。但其代表作《罗密欧与朱丽叶》和《孔雀东南飞》都是通过男女主人公的爱情悲剧,控诉了封建礼教,赞扬男女主人公对个性解放和爱情幸福的追求,体现了人文主义思想。通过比较其社会背景、人物性格等,不难看出东西方爱情悲剧观的异同。
Dramas of Shakespeare＇ s and Yuefu songs in Han dynasty belong to different times and different cultures. But their masterpieces - ＂Romeo and Juliet＂ and ＂ Peacock Flying to Southeast＂ both condemn the cruel feudal society and embody humanism through the tragical love. By comparing the social background and characters＇ personalities one can easily see the similarities as well as the differences of attitudes toward love between east and west.
