在众多难以计数的公式中,质能公式的影响无疑极大。其通常表述E=mc^2甚至成为文化艺术表示科学的时尚。其中的“质量”是所谓随速度v增大而增加的“相对论性质量”或“运动质量”m(v)=mγ,γ=(1-v^2/c^2)^-1/2。这里m为质量或固有质量,相应于所谓“运动质量”,通常又称之为“静止质量”,记为m0;c是光速。
We recall the confusions on energy, mass and mass-energy formula in Einstein's relativity. There aredifferent points of view on how to understand them. This can be easily clarified in terms of Poincaresymmetry. In general relativity, there is no local translations and the benchmark for physics is then local GL(4,R ) group or its subgroup SO (1,3 ). This is not completely in consistency with that in special relativity.This is the real situation for Einstein's relativity as of the greatest breakthroughs in the last century physicswhich is the most precise branch of science. And this is different from the over-simplified models of sciencethat have been proposed by philosophers.
