摘要
万国鼎是我国著名的农史学家、图书馆学家、索引学家、"索引运动"的主将。他的索引成果众多,内容广博,成绩斐然。除了从事索引学理论、索引排检法研究以外,他还从事主持索引机构、开展索引教学、编纂索引等项工作。系统阐述万国鼎对我国近代索引史的贡献,可为索引事业发展提供参考。
Wan Guo - Ding was one of the famous agricultural historian, library science expert and indexer. He was one of the pioneers in the modern index history in China. His achievements cover ed index theory, index compilation, index education, index institution work, and so on. The paper discussed the index achievement of Wan Guo- Ding by giving priority to the Index Movement, Xinqiao Dictionary and Agricultural Indexes.
