摘要
凭借处女作《追风筝的人》一书，蜚声世界文坛之后，阿富汗裔美国小说家卡勒德·胡赛尼于2007年力推新作《灿烂千阳》，一时间，好评如潮，成为西方评论界关注的焦点。本文以评价理论的核心子系统——态度系统为研究视角，从词汇层面对《灿烂千阳》展开分析，希图由此窥探作品中两个主要女性人物的行为、性格、情感等，揭示她们被压迫、受歧视的悲惨命运，以求为解读该部小说打开新的维度。
With the publication of his first novel The Kite Runner （2003）, Khaled Hosseini firmly establishes his literaly reputation. In May, 2007, Hosseini published his second novel A Thousand Splendid Suns, which became an immediate success, being much discussed and praised by the critics. This paper attempts to analyze this novel from the perspective of appraisal theory, attitude system in particular. In this way, it hopes to shed light upon the characters, behaviors and feelings of the two female figures of the novel, thus to open up a new interpretive dimension of this work.
