摘要
《中庸》最根本的旨意是阐释道自身及其表现。中庸和诚并不是道的众多特性中的某种特性,而是道自身的本性。这意味着,道就是中庸,道就是诚。作为如此,道一方面显现为天道,另一方面显现为人道。当从人道尽天道时,人也就是行走在中庸之道和诚之道上,并能达到理想的天人合一的境界。
The essence of The Doctrine of the Mean is to illustrate Dao and its expressions. The ＂Mean＂ and ＂Sincerity＂ are not two of the many characteristics of Dao, but its nature. That means Dao is the ＂Mean＂ and the ＂Sincerity＂ . In that case, Dao is displayed both in a heavenly way and a humane way. When one upgrades from the ＂Humane Dao＂ to the ＂Heavenly Dao＂, he is then walking on the way of the ＂Mean＂ and ＂Sincerity＂, and can reach the ideal state of the combination of Heaven and man.
