New breakthroughs in the study of nuclear tracks in solids are pointed out and discussed, which include: (1) Adoption and insights of atomic force microscope (AFM), (2) Lepton tracks in solids, (3) Nuclear tracks in metals, (4) Real time position sensitive multi threshold bubble damage detectors, (5) Discovery of second cluster radioactivity island, (6) Special behaviors of relativistic heavy ion interactions, (7) Physical state in cosmic ray sources, (8) Convection model of appearance of spontaneous fission tracks in minerals, and (9) New behaviors of nuclear track membranes.
