We measured the 100 Ru( 32 S,γ) 132 Nd * reaction at projectile energy of 148MeV at 3 positions: 88.7°/125°,55°/72.5°,107°/107°. The corresponding excitation energy Ex of the compound nucleus 132 Nd * was about 72MeV and its average angular momentum I transferred was about 37. High energy γ rays were detected with two large volume and high efficiency NaI plastic anticoincidence shielded spectrometers. To obtain the small region in the plane (E *,I) in the measurement, a multiplicity filter consisting of 38 hexagonal BGO crystals was used to determine the multiplicity (Mγ) distribution and the nuclear temperature. The GDR parameters were obtained by fitting the experimental spectra with a modified version of the statistical model code CASCADE.
