摘要
随着信息技术和网络技术的发展,用户信息需求的日趋多元化和个性化,使信息服务工作面临严峻的挑战,努力寻求新技术新方法,是我们必须面对的课题。RSS技术的出现,无疑给图书馆个性化的信息服务提供了强有力的工具。通过对RSS技术、个性化信息服务的概念及优点的介绍,探讨了RSS技术在图书馆个性化信息服务中的应用。
With the development of information technology and intemet teclanology, the growing diversificauon and personalization of the need of customer＇s information are faced up with a severe challenge to information service. What we must be facing is to seek for new technologies and new approaches. The advent of RSS technology offers the powerful tool for the personalized information service （PIS） in library. The application of RSS technology in the PIS in library has been discussed in the paper through the introduction of the concept and advantages of the RSS technology and PIS.
