摘要
我国研制的新一代通信卫星“东方红三号”于5月12日零时17分由新型的“长征三号甲”运载火箭在西昌卫星发射中心发射升空.24分钟后,卫星进入近地点2O9千米,远地点36194千米的地球同步转移轨道.在西安卫星测控中心控制下,星上远地点发动机作了三次点火,变轨成功,使卫星顺利进入准同步轨道,并已最终将卫星定点在距地球35786千米高度的东经125度赤道上空.“长征三号甲”运载火箭是我国自行研制的地球同步轨道运载能力较大的运载火箭。
The DFH(Dongfanghong) -3 communications satellite was successfully launched on April 12, 1997. The launch was accomplished using a China-built Long March 3A launch vehicle. The DFH-3 is a new generation communications satellite developed by the Chinese Academy of Space Technology. It carries 24 C-band transponders. Among them, 6 are 16W middle-power transponders, and 18 are 8W low-power transponders. They are used for broadcasting and communications, such as TV transmission, telephone, telegram, facsimile and data transmission. The DFH-3 has a life span of about eight years.
