摘要
美国影像持久性研究所于1988年和1991年先后两次对胶片的稳定性进行了大规模的试验．并取得了多项具有重大指导意义的结论。该所曾先后撰写了5篇论文，报导了他们的试验过程和结论．本文概括介绍这5篇论文的主要内容，也涉及了国际上有关影像保存技术的其他一些进展成果．作者高度评价这些成果，并提出应加以研究．并结合我国的实际情况．制定持久保存胶片的相应措施。
Since 1988 and 1991, the American Institute of lmage Permanence had carried out two large research programmes on the stability of processed films and had acquired very fruitiful achievements. In the light of these researches, five papers were published. This paper offers a brief introduction into the main contents of these articles, together with other domestic and overseas achievements on this subject. The author highly appreciated these advancements and proposed to study them to set appropriate measures for permanent storage of processed films in our country.
