摘要
随着局域网的应用领域不断拓宽和现代通信方式的不断变化,尤其是移动和便携式通信的发展,无线局域网(WLAN)应运而生。现简述了无线局域网的特点、传输媒体、拓扑结构、工作原理等对移动计算机网络的支持及无线局域网的应用与发展。
With the continuously expanding of the application of LAN, and the constantly changing of and modem means of communication, particularly the development of mobile and portable commtmications, wireless local area network （WLAN） comes into being. This paper describes the characteristics of WLAN, transmission media, topology, working principle, the support of mobile computer network, application and development of wireless LAN.
