传统喷丸工艺规程的设计方法是由工艺人员根据他们从事工厂生产活动而积累起来的经验，以手工方式进行的，缺乏一致性，还存在着大量的重复劳动。计算机辅助喷丸工艺规程设计（SP－CAPP）是专门为从事喷丸工艺规程编制工作的技术人员所设计的计算机软件系统。它具有操作简便、功能强大、用户界面丰富多彩、容错性良好和高度自动化等特点。是使喷丸工艺规程设计工作高质量、高效率、集成化和规范化的有力工具。
