DNA Methylation and its Regulation Effect During Plant Development

摘要 DNA甲基化属于一种表观遗传修饰,主要发生在CpG双核苷酸序列中的胞嘧啶上,是在DNA甲基转移酶催化下,以S-腺苷甲硫氨酸为甲基供体,将甲基转移到胞嘧啶上,生成5-甲基胞嘧啶的一种反应。DNA甲基化在植物生长过程中具有极其重要的作用。综述了植物DNA甲基化的特征、调控机制,及其对植物基因表达影响的研究进展。 DNA Methylation is one type of epigenetic modification.The most striking feature of DNA methylation patterns is that the addition of a methyl group at the 5-position of cytosine in CpG dinucleotides.Methyl group of the methyl donor,S-adenosyl methionine were added to cytosine by DNA methyltransferase.DNA methylation plays an integral role in regulating plant development.In this review,the recent advances in the understanding of the role that DNA methylation plays in regulating aspects of plant development were briefly introduced,including the characteristics of plant methylation,its regulating mechanisms,and the effects on genes expression.
