Simulation study on active frame dropping strategy for wireless media streaming

摘要 仿真研究IEEE802.11g无线网络环境下实时流媒体的性能,在分析和探讨支持实时流媒体应用时无线网络性能瓶颈的基础上,提出一种改进策略——主动弃帧。仿真结果表明,这一策略显著改善了网络性能,为实时流媒体在WLAN上的应用提供更好的服务质量。 A simulation study on media streaming performance in an IEEES02. 11g Wireless local Area Network (WLAN) environment was presented. An active frame dropping strategy on the basis of MPEG frames was proposed. The simulation results show that this strategy significantly improves the performance of wireless media streaming, and provides reliable QoS for real-time multimedia applications in WLAN.
