摘要
教育是实现可持续发展的根本途径。20世纪90年代以来，可持续发展教育虽然取得了一些进步，但进展不大。国际上有许多学者对此进行了研究分析，提出了可持续发展教育过程中存在的一些主要障碍和问题，这些问题具有普遍性，是每一个国家=手口地区在实施可持续发展教育过程中都必须解决的问题。
Education is an essential tool for achieving sustainable development. While many nations around the world have embraced the need for education to achieve sustainability, only limited progress has been made on any level. This lack of progress stems from many sources. Many researchers have proposed the major issues stymied the advance of ESD during the 1990s and new millennium. All governments around the world must address these critical irhpediments in advancing education for sustainable development.
