This article discusses some state of affairs in U S.chemical industry in terms of two study reports issued 1996: Meeting the Challenge:U.S.Chemical Industry Faces the 21st Century and Technology Vision 2020:The U.S.Chemical Industry. In conclusion,the importance of macro control,technology development program,information works and mutual cooperation are concerned.
