Optic Fiber Strain Sensor for the Engineering Structure

摘要 研究了一种用于土木工程结构监测的本征型强度调制光纤传感器,其敏感部分是利用光刻技术在多模光纤上形成的齿槽周期结构。详细分析了该传感器原理,首次得到这种传感器既能测量拉应变,也能测量压应变的统一表示公式。传感器对应变的响应具有良好的线性度和重复性,而且应变灵敏度完全由敏感元结构参数决定。给出了钢筋拉应变、混凝土压应变的试验结果。定标后传感器测量钢筋拉应变时,其应变的精度优于±2.5%;测量混凝土压应变时,其精度优于±2.9%。量程与精度已完全满足工程结构安全检测的要求。 A new kind of intrinsic optic fiber sensor based on intensity modulating for structure monitoring in civil engineering is developed.Its sensing elements, which take on tooth like and trough like structures alternatively,are formed directly on the multimode optic fiber with photoetching techniques.The principle of the sensor is analyzed in detail.The conclusion is obtained for the first time that this kind of sensor can detect tension as well as compression strain.Responses of the sensor for the strain are linear and repeatable,and its sensitivity depends only on the structural parameters of the sensing elements.The experimental results of steel bar tension strain and concrete compression strain are given.When the sensor is used to test steel bar after it has been calibrated,the accuracy of the sensor is better than ±2.5% for the tension strain and ±2.9% for the compression strain.Its measuring accuracy and range fully fulfill the detecting requirements of the structural safety of civil engineering.
