Definition and new requires of health air-conditioners were specified. The history and current situations of its research and development were stated. Considering the factors on indoor air quality, healthy technology applied in health air -conditioners and its effects on improving IAQ were analyzed. The choices of health air -conditioners were discussed and its challenge that must be faced was also presented.
