北太平洋冬季海平面气压场的主要特征及与季节性南方涛动的相互联系

摘要 本文用复经验正交函数(CEOF)分析方法,研究了1899~1980年北太平洋冬季海平面气压场的时空结构,指出北太平洋中部的高、低纬度地区分别为二个半永久性大气活动中心(阿留申低压和副热带高压)。并指出该地区的空间波是一行波,其传播方向是自西北向东南的准纬向方向,且高低纬度地区气压距平变化是反位相关系。 采用多维谱分析方法,探讨了各季节的南方涛动指数(SOI)与气压场的振荡特性,结果表明它们之间存在准3.5年的耦合振荡,且以南方涛动变化超前气压场为主要特点,冬季更为显著。 Using the Complex Emperieal Orthogonal Function(CEOF) technique, the temporal and spatial structures on tne winter sea-level pressure (1899 ~1980) on the Northern Pacific have been analyzed in this paper.It is obvious that the doninat feature might be the existence of two quasi-permanent atmospheric active centers (the Alutian Low and the Tropical Pacific High) over this area. The second feature might be the spatial wave which appears as a progressive wave in the area. The direction of the wave movment approximated from northwest to southeast. The third one might be the opposive sign existed between the abnormals of sea-level pressure over the high and the low latitute areas. The relationship between the seasonal Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) and sea-level pressure has been analyzed using the multi-spectral method. As a result, the coupling oscillation with 3.5 years could be a major characteristic. The SOI seemed to represent a lead variation before the pressure field. Especially, it could be more obvious in winter.
