不同时期文化背景的城市具有不同的平面布局和造型风格,其环境也具有不同的特色,因此形成了多元化的城市景观。永定门外东辅路景观是南城老街巷、老建筑拆迁后形成的一片带状城市道路绿化隔离区,作为展现"绿色崇文,生态崇文"新貌的窗口,继承中轴线传统与现代商贸文化起着潜移默化的作用,其多元化文化体验对于保持城市的完整记忆,增强城市的特色和个性,意义深远。
