The Study on the Impact of Relational Capital on Alliance Governance:A Perspective from Transaction Cost

摘要通过分析关系资本与交易成本之间的作用机制,考察了关系资本对联盟治理结构的影响。研究发现,伙伴关系资本的积累将导致交易成本先减小后增加,并使联盟治理结构呈现由内部化、股权型联盟、契约型联盟向市场,再由市场向契约型联盟、股权型联盟及内部化演变的"对称式"分布模式。最后结合实际进一步突出了研究的应用价值。 Based on theories of transaction cost economy, this paper analyzes the mechanism between relational capital and transaction cost, and examined the impact of relational capital on the governance structure of alliance. Being different from the previous point of view that relational capital would reduce transaction cost, it finds that as relational capital accumulates, transaction cost tends to firstly minish and then increase, and that the pattern of alliances＇governance structure would evolve from internalization, equity alliance, contract alliance to market, and from that on to contract alliance, equity alliance and internalization. Finally it discusses some empirical observations which confirmed our findings, and proposed some application.
