This paper describes the synthesis and the performance test of a new type dissolved-in-water organic additive of preventing metals from rusting——12-butylacyl-castor-oil-acid. The additive can bothplay the role of a surface activator, but also have the grinding-resistance, corrosion-resistance and lubricant performance.
