摘要
1996年12月21日四川省甘孜州西部发生了5.5级地震。该文对这次地震的震源参数、地震序列及震后早期趋势判断、地震宏观烈度、震灾评估、震前预测过程和政府决策等作了概括的报道。
On December 21, 1996, an earthquake of M 5.5 occurred in the Western Garze Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. This paper gives a general description on the earthquake hypocenter parameters, seismic sequence, early judgement on earthquake trend after occurrence of the earthquake, macroseismic intensity, earthquake disaster assessment, process of the pre-earthquake prediction and policy decision.
