摘要
本文通过与现存的几处早期地狱经变图像比较,考证雷氏造像碑侧的图案亦为地狱经变图,并认为在地狱观念早期传播过程中地狱经变图杂糅进了很多民间信仰和中土大众对地狱的理解,而形成了具有中土特色的地狱经变图像。
The authors illustrate the carvings, describig Hell on the stage erected by Lei family and compare these carvings with those on the early stage. By doing so, the authors present that the art of religion, intertwined with folk belief and religious ideas, should be regarded as a certain kind of folk art due to its obvious worldliness.
