摘要
中泰两国语言政策实施的具体事例表明,虽然两国推行本国通用语是少数民族语言迅速濒危的主要原因,但作者从亲身参与泰国濒危语言的保护中得到启示,认为解决问题的关键在于改变他们的语言态度,即千方百计地从深层次上提高少数民族的自信心,使他们热爱自己的民族,热爱自己的语言。
Through a study of the implementation of the language policies in China and Thailand, the paper holds that the popularization of the common language is the main cause of the quickly disappearing minority languages, that is, the common language is the killer of the weak languages. The authors of this paper have been enlightened from their involvement in the protection of the endangered languages in Thailand and have concluded that the only solution lies in the change of their attitude towards their languages, that is, the minority nationalities should try every means to enhance their self-confidence, strengthen their self-esteem and ethnic identity, love their own ethnic groups and languages.
