摘要
转喻是在表达中借一事物指代另一事物,而这两事物应具有部分-整体或在同一整体内部分-部分的关系。认知语言学将转喻所涉及的两事物的指代通常称作"映射"(mapping),本文将这种现象看作是这两事物间的内涵和外延的传承。这一分析也许还可能扩展到对隐喻的映射作出说明。
Rhetorically speaking, metonymy is a kind of expression consisting of the use of the name of one thing for that of another of which it is an attribute or with which it is associated. While cognitive linguistics refers to the process of using the name of one thing for that of another as a process of mapping, the present study refers to it as the process of the impartment and inherence of the connotation and denotation of these two things concerned. This kind of analysis may well be applied to the analysis of metaphor.
