摘要
本文运用语篇分析理论,研究了不同英语水平的受试对英汉语篇信息结构的认知对翻译的影响。我们认为在英汉双语转换中,主位推进模式的变化不因译者外语水平的高低而产生巨大影响,只是在个体方面呈现出一定差异。也就是说,英汉语篇信息结构的差异对有了一定英汉语水平的学习者(尽管水平参差不齐)已不是主要障碍,更应该关注的是思维方式的培养。
This paper approaches cognitive elements in information structures of EFL learners of different levels in translating from English into Chinese and vice versa in the light of Discourse Analysis.Based on the results of an investigation,the authors argue that the English level of the translator is not a major factor in dealing with the pattern of thematic progression in the process of language switch.In other words,the differences of information structures between English and Chinese texts are not a major obstacle to language learners in their practice of translation.Therefore,the instructors should notice some other factors instead,such as the shift of thought modes.
