摘要
2007年9月17-21日在荷兰阿姆斯特丹召开的第43届欧洲糖尿病学会（EASD）年会上，曾经获得第64届美国糖尿病协会（ADA）年度Banting奖的Michael Brownlee教授作了专题报告。他提出了一些有关糖尿病并发症的关键问题，并给予新的解答：包括高血糖如何导致微血管损伤；糖尿病如何导致大血管损害；高血糖记忆的机制是什么；有哪些潜在的治疗糖尿病并发症的方法？本文就其报告作一解读。
Professor Michael Brownlee, MD, who had received the Banting Award at the American Diabetes Association＇s 64th Scientific Sessions presented a lecture at the 43th EASD Annual Meeting, Amsterdam, 17-21 September 2007. He highlighted some critical questions and answers about diabetic complications including：How does hyperglycemia cause microvascular damage？ How does diabetes cause maerovasculax damage？ What is the mechanism underling hyperglycemic memory？ What are potential new therapeutic approaches？ Here introduces the main viewpoint about his lecture.
