诗歌的主题是诗歌的主要观点或思想,它有别于诗歌描述的对象。"真、善、美"不足以概括莎士比亚十四行诗的全部主题。纵观英国文艺复兴时期其他作家作品以及莎士比亚剧作可以看出,时光无情、爱情幻灭、人生无常、诗之永恒,是莎氏十四行诗的四个"另类"主题。
A poem＇s theme, more than its subject, is its main point or idea. It is perhaps inappropriate to claim that ＂fair＂, ＂kind＂, and ＂true＂ are the three major themes of Shakespeare＇s sonnets. From an intertextual perspective, by scrutinizing his dramas, and the works of other Renaissance English poets, the author points out that there are such ＂unconventional＂ themes in his sonnets as Time＇ s destructiveness, love＇ s corruption, ubi sunt, and rnonurnenturn aere perennius.
