This paper summarizes the International standard ISO8486-1: 1996 and someadvanced nations' standards on macrogrits used in the manufacture of bonded abrasives. It willgive readers a better understanding of the newest version of ISO8486-1: 1996 and correspondingcurrently valid European standards, AInerican national standard and Japanese industrial standards.
