The spectra of charge transfer complexes(CTC) formed between 10,10′ dialkyl 9,9′ biacridinium nitrates(and other anion salts) and potassium p substituted phenolates in acetonitrile were measured spectrophotometrically. The electronic affinity( E A) values of 10,10′ dialkyl 9,9′biacridinium nitrates were calculated, and c values were determined at the same time. The results showed that substitutent on 10 position of biacridinium salts has a little effect on the value of its E A; the kind of anion has a little effect on the E A value of this kind anion 10,10′ dialkyl 9,9′ biacridinium salt, and the E A and υ when potassium p methyl(or methoxyl) phenolate acted as donor with10,10′ dialkyl 9,9′ biacridinium nitrates has a good linear relationship.
