摘要
本文对当前温病学发展过程中所出现的关于温病学的性质和地位的困惑以及出路问题进行了分析。文中提出应充分认识温病学的重要性，并根据温病学所具有的基础学科和临床学科双重性质，进行学科的分化，使其基础理论部分分化成为古典温病学（包括古典医著），临床证治部分则形成中医传染病学，以便于与现代医学体系接轨。同时要进一步扩大运用温病学的治则、治法，加强温病学理论证治的实际应用，建立临床基地，加快温病学的现代科研步伐，从多方面提高温病学的理论和应用水平．使温病学更加适应社会发展的需求而获得自身的发展。
This paper presents an analysis of the nature, status and prospect of the study of epidemic febriledisease. The author believes that it is advisable to break up the study of epidemic febrile disease based on its dualqualities of being both a basic and a clinical study, so that its basic theory part becomes a classical study of epi-demic febrile disease(including classical medical works), and its clinical treatment part becomes TCM lemology,so as to conform to the modern medical system. The author also puts forward the views that it is important to in-crease the practical application of the theories in the study of epidemic febrile diseases, establish clinical bases,speed up the modern research of epidemic febrile disease and raise the theory and application level of the study ofepidemic febrile disease.
