At room temperature,the binuclear copper(Ⅱ) complexes [Cu(C 6H 5COO) 2(L)] 2,L=C 5H 5NO(1),2-methylpyridine(2),2,4,6-trimethylpyridine(3),[Cu 2(C 6H 5COO) 4(dppe)](4,deep=di(biph-enylphosphine) ethane were prepared by oxidative addition reaction.The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses,IR spectra,TG-DTA and magnetic properties.Crystals (1) are triclinic,space group P1,Z=1,V=0.880nm 3, R= 0.044, a=0.9262(4),b=1.0697(2),c =1.0881(3)nm,a=59.60(2)°,β=74.83(3)°,γ=72.80(2)°.Each copper(Ⅱ) ion is coordinated by four bridging bidentate benzoate and one ligand forms dimeric binuclear molecules.
