摘要
本文报道了虻属二新种:晨螫虻 Tahanus matutinimordicus sp.nov.;似冲绳虻 T.okinawanoides sp.nov.,作者对新种的形态特征进行了详细描述,并与近似种作了比较。
This paper reports 2 new species of Tabanus from China. The types are deposited in the Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology.Tabanus matutinimordicus sp. nov. (figs. 1; 3; B)Female: Length 16-20mm. Eyes dark green without band (fresh or relaxed). Frons 10-11 times as high as width at base. Subcallus, face and thorax golden yellow covered the same color hairs. Abdomen black with golden yellow triangles in middle of terga Ⅱ-Ⅳ, sterna dark yellow on sides.This species is closely related to T. birmanicus Bigot, but in latter, frons 7 times as high as width at base, beard and hairs on pleura dark brown to black, abdomen black with yellow hair stripe in middle of terga Ⅰ-Ⅱ or Ⅰ-Ⅳ.Holotype, female, from Tianmushan, Zhejiang Province, 30.4°E, 119.5°N, 12 July 1978. Paratypes: 1 female, ditto; 13 females, Dayong County, Hunan Province, 25 July 1984; 13 females, Damingshan, Guangxi Province, August 1981; 29 females Shiwanshan, Guangxi, August, 1981; 5 females, Miaoershan, Guangxi, July 1982.Tabanus okinawanoides sp. nov. (figs. 2; 3: D)Female: Length 22-27 mm. Eyes dark purplish green without band (relaxed). Frons brownish yellow, about 8 times as high as width at base. Face brownish yellow covered with the same color hairs. Scape dark brown, pedicel and plate of flagellum brown, 4 annulations brown black to black. Thorax dark brownish black with 3 indistinct, very narrow, dark brown stripes. Halter black, tip of knobs brown black. Abdomen dark brown, becoming darker apically, terga Ⅰ-Ⅴ with golden yellow, very small median triangles and narrow posterior borders. There are very small black median spots at the front of median triangles on terga Ⅰ-Ⅱ of some specimens. Sternum Ⅷ with a straight anterior border.This species is very closely related to T. okinawanus Shiraki, but in latter, terga with a black median stripe which becomes broader apically, and which is interrupted at the segmentations at which there are very small yellowish haired median triangles. There is a curve on anterior border of sternum Ⅷ, and tip of knovs yellow.Holotype, female, Jianfengling, Hainan Island, 108.7°E, 18.5°N, 7 June 1967. Paratypes: 20 females, Mountain areas in Hainan Island, 1965-1974.
